Pilchards And Cabbage Salad


1 x 400g tin Lucky Star Pilchards in Tomato Sauce
Half a cabbage, shredded
1 x Onion, diced
2 x Green Chillies
1 x Table spoon of Oil
Pinch of Salt
1 x Spoon of Mayonnaise


Boil the shredded cabbage with a quarter cup of water, until tender
Drain the water and put aside
Fry the diced onion and green chillies until almost brown
Add the cabbage
Fry the onion, green chillies and cabbage until the cabbage is brown
Add a pinch of salt
Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes
Remove from the heat, add the pilchards and let cool.
Once cooled, pour in the mayonnaise and mix

Rice and Meat or Braaied Meat with pap
