Chilli Pilchard Fish Balls


1 x 400g tin Lucky Star Pilchards in Hot Chilli Sauce
1 x cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 x egg, beaten
1 x onion, finely chopped
Oil for frying


Fry the chopped onions in a little oil until translucent
Drain and set aside
Pour Lucky Star pilchards into a bowl and mash
Add breadcrumbs, onions and coriander to the pilchards and mix well
Beat the egg and add to the pilchards mixture
Pour enough oil into a pot for deep frying
Roll pilchard mixture into bite sized balls and fry in hot oil for a few minutes
Remove the balls from the oil
